Who we are

The Bright Smiles Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to creating healthier futures through oral health education. We believe that confidence, wellness, and opportunity all begin with a bright, healthy smile—and that every child deserves the knowledge and resources to protect it.

Founded with a passion for preventative dental care and community empowerment, our mission is to make oral health education accessible, engaging, and impactful—especially for children and teens in schools and underserved communities. Through classroom presentations, interactive programs, dental hygiene kit drives, and community partnerships, we teach students not just how to take care of their smiles, but why it matters for their long-term health.

We partner with dental professionals, educators, and local organizations to deliver credible, age-appropriate tools and resources that inspire lifelong habits. Our approach is simple: education, prevention, and empowerment.

Because when a child understands their smile, they’re one step closer to understanding their power.

Healthy Smiles. Brighter Futures. That’s who we are.

Meet our Founder

“I have had a passion for oral health as long as I can remember, which eventually led to my pursuit of becoming a dentist and the creation of The Bright Smiles Project. As I began to research more about proper oral hygiene, I discovered that many people in my community were not receiving adequate information in order to take proper care of their teeth. It is no secret that dentist’s have a negative view from society and almost everyone has a “bad dentist story”. In an effort to make an impact now, and not have to wait until I (God-willing) become a dentist, I created The Bright Smiles Project. While promoting proper oral health, The Bright Smiles Project also gives me a platform to try to reduce dental anxiety among populations, by connecting with dentists and seeing what issues they deal with in-house. I look forward to the future of The Bright Smiles Project and seeing how we can make an impact in communities around Mississippi.”
